  • Journal entries and reflections
  • Voice recordings and transcriptions
  • Activity responses and feedback
  • Communication preferences
  • Support requests and feedback submissions

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and personalize our services
  • To generate AI-powered insights based on your journal entries
  • To transcribe voice recordings into text
  • To recommend relevant resources and activities
  • To communicate with you about your account and updates
  • To improve and develop our platform
  • To respond to support requests

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Your journal entries are stored securely using industry-standard encryption with row-level security policies that ensure only you can access your data. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

AI and Your Data

Our AI features analyze your journal entries to provide personalized insights and recommendations. We use Anthropic's Claude AI for insight generation. Your journal entries are not used to train AI models. AI processing happens on-demand when you request insights, and we do not retain copies of your entries beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

Voice Recording Data

When you use our voice memo feature, your audio is processed by Deepgram for transcription. Audio recordings are processed in real-time and are not stored by Deepgram after transcription. The resulting text transcription is stored as part of your journal entry.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your journal entries
  • Opt out of AI-powered features
  • Request information about how your data is processed

To exercise any of these rights, visit your Profile > Privacy & Data settings or contact us at the email below.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Anthropic (Claude) - AI-powered insights (your entries are not used to train AI models)
  • Deepgram - Voice transcription (audio is not stored after processing)
  • Stripe - Payment processing
  • Google - OAuth authentication (optional sign-in method)
  • Cloud hosting, database, and email delivery providers

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and process it only as necessary to provide their services.

Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may use analytics to understand how users interact with our platform in aggregate. We do not use cookies for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or you have an active subscription. If you cancel your subscription, your data will be retained for 30 days after the end of your billing period. During this window, you may export your data or resubscribe to preserve it. After 30 days, your personal data — including journal entries, insights, and activities — will be permanently deleted. Payment records are retained for legal and financial compliance. If you delete your account directly, your data is deleted immediately.

Children's Privacy

InHerHive is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
